Moms’ Ministry Summer meetings
We are meeting on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at 7p in the Youth and Young Adult Ministry office. Summer Dates: July 10 & 24, August 14 & 28.Moms of all ages and stages are welcome and there is no cost to attend.  We look forward to meeting you!  For more information contact Liz Pippin at greenpup83@hotmail.com.

Catholic Engaged Encounter
Is an international program committed to preparing couples for the sacrament of marriage. Engaged couples attend a weekend retreat that fosters openness and communication through a series of presentations, private reflection and dialog time.  Catholic Engaged Encounter is an approved marriage preparation program within the Baltimore Archdiocese.  Upcoming retreat dates: July 14-17.  Weekends fill quickly.  Register early!  For more information or to register for a weekend, please visit our website or call 410-439-4217

Car Raffle
Father Burggraff Knights of Columbus Council #6021 will again be selling car raffle tickets the weekend of 22-23 July at all masses.  The annual car raffle is conducted for the benefit of the State Council’s Charity and Scholarship Programs as well as council’s many requests for charity throughout the year.  Thank you for supporting the Knights of Columbus!

Youth Ministry

Youth entering grades 6-8 this Fall – Are you interested in serving as a Peer Minister? Peers are servant leaders, leading among the youth according to your gifts!  If interested, please contact Mrs. Kellie at stephenyouth@hotmail.com (best) or 410-592-7294 by Monday 7/10.  And, mark your calendars for a training/retreat day on Tuesday 7/18 from 11am – 5pm at St. Francis de Sales, Abingdon. 

PARENTS: We will not be able to run the peer ministry program without dedicated adults who can also share their gifts and make a commitment to several hours per month, which may include attending a youth gathering, or a planning session, or both!  If interested, please contact Mrs. Colleen Everson at colleen.everson@gmail.com

Community Work Camp July 19-20
Youth entering grades 6-8 are encouraged to attend this two-day, overnight local service immersion.  We’ll visit various agencies such as First Fruits Farm and O’Dwyer Retreat House, and visit our parishioners at their homes for some light work around the yard or house.  Overnight housing will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Long Green. Cost is $20 which covers transportation & supplies, lunch & dinner on Thurs, breakfast, lunch & an ice cream social on Fri, and a pool party on Thurs night.  Details will be posted online and on the bulletin board in Church as soon as service sites are confirmed.

Hershey Park July 21
Open to youth entering grades 6-12 and their families, chaperons required.  We’ll be teaming up with St. Francis de Sales and details will be forthcoming.

Get Ready:  Guppy Gulch, Friday 8/4 
Information will be posted in July about cost and times, and deadline to sign up.  Transportation not provided. Chaperons needed.

3 Session Young Adult Book Club

Camp GLOW Companions
There is a need for companions (age 18 and older) at Camp GLOW, a week-long residential camp for persons with disabilities sponsored by the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Companions spend the week accompanying camp participants as they enjoy a wonderful week of spiritual fulfillment and social interaction. World Youth Day Unite! July 22 in Washington DC
Register here! This event is open to all young adults age 18-39, you need not have attended any prior World Youth Day events to participate! The Archdiocese is looking to travel by bus or carpool. Saturday, Sept 2  CRS & the Orioles team up to fight hunger!
After a great event last year, Catholic Relief Services and the Baltimore Orioles are partnering again in the fight against hunger with the 25,000 Meal Challenge. This challenge also celebrates the 25th anniversary of Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Help us raise enough money to send 25,000 meals to the hungry women, men and children of Burkina Faso, West Africa. Join us for our spirited meal-packaging event featuring Orioles Hall of Famer Mike Bordick and the Oriole Bird. Any team that raises $500 will receive 10 free tickets for the Orioles’ September 6th game against the New York Yankees, and 2 more tickets will be provided for each additional $100 raised. Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, 5200 N. Charles Street! Start time for the 5K and 1 mile run/walk is 8:00 am. Enjoy music by DJ Ray, a pre-race warm-up with Roxana of Brick Bodies, entertainment by Bobalouie the Clown, raffles and refreshments.
